The Pinetown Ruritan Club recently celebrated 65 years of community service. The club chartered June 6, 1947, with 38 members. In acknowledgement of devoted and unselfish service which has resulted in making local communities a better place in which to live was presented by special guest Clay Byrum, National Director from Carrsville, Va. The club celebrated with food and fellowship with present members along with guests from the community. Five new shrubs were planted in memory of members who have died. The club meets the first Thursday of the month with a dinner meeting beginning at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
