A welder stolen from a Chocowinity home in June was recovered in nearby woods and the man who allegedly stole it was arrested on Aug. 6, said a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

The equipment was taken from a garage on West Barr Road in Chocowinity. A sheriff’s office investigation pointed to suspect Joshua Thomas Marslender, 21, of Worthington Lane, Chocowinity, according to the release.

Marslender turned himself in to the Magistrates’ Office and was charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
