The Washington-Beaufort Board of Realtors will present the ABC’s of North Carolina Homeowners Insurance forum at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at the Washington Yacht & Country Club.
Homeowners insurance consumer advocate Willo Kelly, president of NC-20 and Government-affairs director for the Outer Banks Home Builders Association and the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, will discuss the following:
• Better understand homeowners’ insurance policies;
• Communicating more effectively with insurance agents;
• Saving money on rising insurance costs.
Kelly will use this forum to discuss the effects of rising insurance rates and increasing governmental regulation on homeowners, businesses and economic development in the coastal area, as well as Beaufort County in particular.
