For Toni Cameron, law is a family tradition: she’s a lawyer, as are her parents, her sister and her husband. So when Cameron decided to give writing a try, she went with what she knew — the law.
Cameron comes to River Walk Gallery and Arts Center Sunday for the center’s new program “Sunday Afternoon Tea at River Walk” to read from her novel “Travel Check,” a legal thriller rife with complicated love triangles, corruption and crime set in Hyde County.
“Her book is full of exciting legal twists and turns, along with romantic and moral ones, as well,” wrote Jayne Wall, River Walk organizer, in a press release.
Refreshments will be offered as Cameron discusses her novel with participants.
The public is invited to attend this free event at 2 p.m. Sunday, at River Walk Gallery and Arts Center, 139 W. Main Street, Washington. For more information, call the Arts Center at 252-974-0400.
