Ruth Augusta Gibbs Midgette, 83, longtime resident of Hyde County and most recently at Cross Creek Health Care Center in Swan Quarter, died Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Cross Creek. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Azalea Memorial Gardens in Columbia. Phil Emmert will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday between noon and 1:30 p.m. at the Columbia Chapel of Bryan Funeral Service and then proceed to the cemetery for the funeral service. Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
