Annie Delilah Barrow Harris, 85, a resident of Sladesville-Credle Road, Scranton, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Ward.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Scranton. Burial will be in St. Mahalia Church Cemetery.
Annie was born to the late Rev. Nathaniel Barrow and Elenora Benson Barrow on December 14, 1926. At Mahalia Chapel, she was a member, Mother, First Lady and Eastern Star 662. Annie married the late Rev. Henderson Harris, Sr. in 1946.
Survivors are five daughters: Elsie Ward (Charlie) and Katrina Whitfield (Cedric), both of Belhaven, NC; Delilah Jackson (Les), Greenville, NC; Dalephine Harris, Chicago, IL; and Grace Sheltohn (Fred), Hampton, VA; grandson: Carlos Harris of Sladesville, whom she raised as a son; two brothers, Willie Barrow (Lucille), Colonial, NJ, and Sampson Barrow (Elsie), Franklin, WV; one sister: Grace Crandall, Philadelphia, PA; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
