I disagree with the Wednesday Sound Off about needing grocery stores. That’s the one thing we do need. We have no choice. … We do have two Food Lions and two Piggly Wigglys. That’s the problem — no variety. … This area could use another different grocery store.

Attention voters: you can’t vote straight ticket for president of the United States. You must indicate which presidential candidate you are voting for.

Don’t even think about complaining after the election about who won or lost if you did not bother to vote.
