The Washington Daily News has discontinued the weekly food column, “Southern cooking at its best,” by Eddie Browning.
The column appeared in Wednesday editions of the Daily News and was also published on the newspaper’s website, www.TheWashingtonDailyNews.com.
Browning’s column was immediately discontinued after instances of apparent plagiarism were brought to the attention of newspaper management.
The Daily News discovered that some content and recipes published in Browning’s column were actually the work of food blogger Kristin Rosenau.
The Washington Daily News regrets the situation, apologizes to its readers and to Rosenau.
