Mrs. Evelyn Burnell Wade Bowman, age 86, a resident of 9656 NC Hwy 99 S., Bath, NC died Saturday November 17, 2012 at Vidant Pungo Hospital in Belhaven, NC.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday November 19, 2012 at Odd Fellows Cemetery of Belhaven officiated by Tim Oakes, Craig Hagen and Bud Ball.

Mrs. Bowman was born in Beaufort County on April 18, 1926 daughter of the late Charlie Monroe Wade and the late George Annie Williams Wade.  She married Charlie Ray Bowman who preceded her in death on August 10, 1981.  Mrs. Bowman was a member of West Belhaven Church of Christ and loved to travel.

Survivors include a son: Ray Wesley Bowman and his wife Mildred of Belhaven; a daughter: Ann Marie Paul of Bath and two grandchildren: Grace Paul of Greenville and Joseph Blake Paul of Bath.  Mrs. Bowman was predeceased by a son-in-law: Lewis Ray Paul, Jr.; two brothers: Ellize Wade and Earl Wade and three sisters: Elizabeth Wade, Elva Malosh and Era Radcliffe.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Bowman’s daughter, Ann Marie Paul, located at 9656 NC Hwy 99 South, Bath, NC.
