Kathryn “Kathy” Odom Parrott, 63, of 2646 Kader Lilley Road, Williamston, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at Martin General Hospital. Kathy was born in Martin County on June 23, 1949, to Courtney Jenkins Odom and the late Perry Edward Odom, Sr. She was a member of Community Christian Church. She retired after 41 years of service with Dominion Power. Kathy was an avid bowler and was a member of the Wednesday Night League Williamston Bowling Association.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Community Christian Church by Dale Minton. A private entombment will follow.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Floyd Parrott, Jr. of the home; daughters, Susan Parrott Moore and husband Mark of Williamston, Nicole Parrott and fiancée Ashley all of Williamston; special daughter, Amy Hinson of Greenville; mother, Courtney Jenkins Odom of Williamston; brother, Perry “Butch” Odom, Jr. and wife Ann of Houston, TX; sister, Linda Odom Jernigan of Williamston; grandchildren, Jena Clemmons, Hannah Moore, Dalton Edwards, Joshua Moore, Camren Peed, Allie Peed, Corey Baggett, special granddaughter, Becci Siegle.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Community Christian Church and at other times from the home. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 Wellness # B, Greenville, NC 27834 or to a Relay for Life of your choice.
