During the annual Christmas party and awards banquet for the Washington police and fire departments, the departmental Awards of Excellence were awarded. The Award of Excellence is presented annually to individuals who have consistently displayed an exceptional proficiency to duty and have demonstrated a continual effort toward meeting the departments’ missions and visions over an extended period. The recipients are selected by their peers and staff. Taking part in the awards presentations were (from left) Fire Chief Robbie Rose, police detective Jesse Dickinson, fire Lt.
