Southside High School students, faculty and staff recently participated in the Pennies for Patients campaign to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Southside raised $146.08 during the campaign, which was conducted by the senior members of the Student Government Association, including Marlin Edwards, senior class president; Kyle White, executive council president; Danita Gibbs, executive council vice president; and Tiffany Philbeck, senior-class secretary.
Connie Lewis’ first-period class collected the most money and will be treated to a lunch provided by Olive Garden. Lisa Johnson’s first-period class came in a close second.
