Arrest made in Hydrocodone trafficking

A street value of $1,670 in Hydrocodone was seized from a Washington man last week by Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit investigators.
William Earl Satchell, 35, of 878 West Fourth Street, Washington, was arrested by after drug unit investigators made controlled purchases of the prescription drug from Satchell, according to a drug unit press release.
Hydrocodone is narcotic analgesic,  semi-synthetic opioid made from either of two naturally occurring opiates — codeine and thebaine.
According to the press release, investigators seized 167 dosage units. Satchell was arrested Dec. 12, and charged with two counts of level III trafficking in opiates by possession, two counts of level III trafficking in opiates by transportation and one count of level III trafficking in opiates by sale. He was confined at the county detention center under a $50,000 bond.
