Music will be in the streets of downtown Washington today. The Rich Company organized a Christmas concert.
From 10 a.m. to noon, some of Rich’s very own musicians will play in front of the 147 West Main Street business, said Rich Company General Manager Tom Atkins.
“We just felt like it would be a way to get people out and encourage them to shop locally,” he said.
Also on the lineup is the First United Methodist Church Praise Band. Atkins has played with the band for years.
The Rich Company will provide coffee and refreshments bought from downtown merchants.
“We’re trying to do everything locally,” Atkins said. “It’ll be fun.”
Downtown merchants will join the fun by offering discounts and Santa will make an appearance, too.
