Mr. Welton Arnold, 94, of 513 Union Court, Roper, died Dec. 25, 2012, at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Plymouth.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Union Chapel Church of  Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Pastor Levert Spencer officiating and Vice Bishop  Daniel Gilliam delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Simmons-Stallings cemetery.

Mr. Arnold was born on July 20, 1918, in Washington County. He was the son of the late Guy and Annie Lamb Arnold. He was a member of Union Chapel Church and a retired employee of Weyerhauser.

Survivors include two sons, Willie Lee Arnold, of Brooklyn, and Larry D. Norman, of Roper; two daughters, Ann Arnold-Peck, of Newport News, Va., and Carolyn Patrick Armstrong, of Hempstead, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Toodle’s Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
