Pictured is Captain Lee Dawson who retired from the City of Washington Department of Fire–Rescue–EMS on Dec. 29. Captain Dawson started his career in the fire service with Clark’s Neck Volunteer Fire Department in 1980 and was a charter member of Pactolus EMS in 1985. He began his career with Washington Fire Department in 1988 as a firefighter/EMT and has served in the positions of Fire Engineer and Lieutenant, and was promoted to Captain in 2005. Captain Dawson is retiring with 24 years of service.
