From N.C. Aquarium

The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island will offer free admission to all visitors on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Jan. 21. Aquarium hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The aquarium’s mission is to inspire appreciation and conservation of North Carolina’s aquatic environments. Admission fees are waived on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and also on Veterans Day to ensure that everyone, regardless of financial ability, can enjoy the aquarium.
As a part of this year’s free day, the aquarium will be collecting canned goods for the Roanoke Island Food Pantry. Please help stock the shelves. All canned goods can be dropped off at the Visitors Services desk.
Standard admission fees apply to other days during the holiday weekend: $8 for ages 13-61; $7 for ages 62 and up; and $6 for ages 3-12. Children age 2 and under and Aquarium Society members are admitted for free. Visit www.ncaquariums.com or call 252-473-3494 for more information.
