The Beaufort County Board of Commissioners meets in a special called meeting at 3 p.m. Friday.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider how to “preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of North Carolina relating to the right to bear arms, the inability of the United States Congress to control spending and the issue of Immigration and other State and Federal matters relating to the welfare of the people,” according to a notice about the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in Room 111 at the Beaufort County Administrative Office, 121 W. Third St., Washington.
