I think your editorial on Wednesday, Jan. 16, concerning Gov. McCrory, his cronies and unemployment cuts is right on target. It’s a gutsy editorial, and you need more of them.

To the caller who can’t find a parking spot on Main Street: those people are paying rent to live in apartments on Main Street, and they deserve a parking spot next to their place of residence. So, get over it and start walking.

The federal push for more restrictions on gun ownership is misdirected. There should be more resources directed toward mental-health issues. States like Connecticut with strong gun laws continue to have problems. Most instances of mass shootings are by persons who have mental problems.
