Whoever said they find downtown Washington to be a thriving place must have been talking about back in the 1950s when it was a hustling, busy downtown, but sure ain’t now.

Would the Daily New please print an article about how to recall a county commissioner? We have one county commissioner who is totally out of control. We must do something about removing him from office.

I am pretty certain that the PRTF camping platforms are not going to block the sun from the fish because they are on land. Read a little bit closer next time.

I wanted to say how proud of Seth Edwards that I am over that column that he had in the paper Saturday. I am so glad we have finally got somebody who works in Beaufort County in a government office who has enough (courage) to tell it like it is. Good job, Seth.

I’d like to start a snowboarding team in Washington. Reckon I can get the U.S. Postal Service to let me have a couple hundred thousands dollars to sponsor me like they do the bicyclists?
