How to adopt Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC or call 252-946-4517 for more information.

Trixie

Trixie is a very, very sweet girl. She is 6 years old, a Chihuahua-mix with a tan, short-hair coat. She is gentle, loves to be held and she has been well cared for. Trixie has a regenerative problem with her rear hips so she walks a little bowlegged, but she gets around fine. She has been spayed, so her adoption fee is only $15. She is available through Saturday.

Tigger

Looking for love and a forever home — meet Tigger, a handsome 2-year-old male tabby that is a calm, gentle boy with a wonderfully playful side. He has a silky soft coat of charcoal and black, with a white vest and socks.  His huge gold/green eyes will melt your heart. He is friendly and loves to cuddle and purr. Tigger is available through Saturday.
