A man reported as missing by family members was located in Washington, according to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. The report was made Jan. 25 that Markeith Terill Jones, 20, had left his home Spring
Creek Road shortly after noon on Jan. 17, reportedly to play basketball at the Aurora school grounds.
He was not seen afterward. Investigators with the sheriff’s office tracked Jones down last week at an address in Washington.
Jones said he had left home for personal reasons, according to Maj. Kenneth Watson, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
