The second man wanted on charges for a string of vehicle break-ins on Feb. 1 has been arrested.

The break-ins took place on Chesterfield Drive, Homeplace Road, CBH Lodge Road and Cherry Road in Washington. Stolen were a variety of items: sunglasses, loose change, computer tablets, iPods and binoculars, some of which ended up at the commercial resale store “Trade It” in Greenville, according to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. Those items were seized as part of the investigation and returned to the owners, said the release.

At the time Investigator Scott Williams obtained warrants for Christian Gage Warner, 17, and Steven Tyler Greene, 18, both of Washington, Greene was thought to be visiting his mother in South Carolina, according to Maj. Kenneth Watson, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

Warner turned himself in at the sheriff’s office on Feb. 7; Greene came back from South Carolina and turned himself in on Monday. Watson said no other law enforcement was involved in the process.

“His family contacted us and arranged for him to turn himself in,” Watson said.
