Surveillance on an Alderbrook Circle apartment, led to two arrests last week by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit.

Erica Moore, 23, and Brandon Smith, 25, were both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a park, maintaining a dwelling to keep and sell a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 11.

According to a drug unit spokesman, the area had had complaints of short duration, high volume traffic and surveillance, along with controlled purchases from an individual in and out of the apartment led to the arrests. Investigators found marijuana packaged for resale in the apartment, which is located in a newer complex off of West 15th Street.

Smith and Moore were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
