I am totally amused that there are people who believe that the downtown jail has ever posed a threat to people who work, dine or live downtown.

I just drove Brick Kiln Road, and I am wondering where the environmental wetlands laws stand as far as all that debris and rock being dumped in the wetlands. I guess if you’ve got plenty of money you can do things like that.

To be sure our governor, in good conscience, is not going to deny millions of people in North Carolina health care. I thought that the governor would like for all North Carolinians to be insured. But he’s not going to implement the exchanges from the Affordable Care Act? He is not taking the best health-care interests of his constituents in mind. This is outrageous for a governor to not accept the exchanges that the federal government will pay for.
