Rexford Hugh Pittman, age 85, of Pinetown, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alease Moore Pittman; parents, Hardy and Margaret Pittman; son, Dennis Hugh Pittman; brother, William Hardy Pittman.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Webster Pittman of Pinetown; daughter, Kathy L. Pittman of Rocky Mount; daughter-in-law, Vicky Pittman, grandson, Jason Pittman and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Pittman all of Nashville; grandson, Kevin Pittman and wife Erica of Raleigh; brother, Royce Johnson “Pete” Pittman and wife Janet of Wilson; sister, Margaret Taylor and husband Billy of Jacksonville, NC; sister-in-law, Berry Pittman of Kinston; three stepchildren, nine stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home; burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
