PETS OF THE WEEK_WEB

Decked out in their St. Patrick’s Day finery are brother Joey and his sister, Mercy.  They are eight-month-old, wire hair Terrier/Fox Terrier-mix puppies. Mercy’s coat color is light tan and white; Joey’s coat is white and black with some brown spots.  Both dogs are sweet, smart, attentive, friendly, lovable and loving; both weigh twenty pounds.

Also available but not photographed is Tanna, a two-year-old, Beagle-mix, female dog. Beagles have merry personalities and that describes her, as well as, friendly, a people lover and smart. Tanna’s coat is beautifully marked in red and white and her face is sweet and attentive.

All three dogs were found in Belhaven and they are ready and waiting to be adopted to new forever homes.

“Top of the Mornin’ ” from Lydia, our cat of the week. Lydia is a gorgeous ten-month-old, female Maine Coon cat. She has a luxurious, silky coat of medium-long hair and a thick, silken, striped tail. She is very loving, playful, alert and immaculately clean. She will be a wonderful addition to any household.

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays.
