Wah, wah, wah, on the gun problem. I guess the next issue in Congress will be knife control. So much for gun control, huh? How come you never hear about the 750,000 children killed every year by abortion, huh? Just saying.

I’m a Daily News reader who lives in Oklahoma but grew up in Little Washington. I would like to comment on the issue of voter ID. I am a voter poll worker here in Okalhoma and have been for several years. Less than two years ago we implemented voter ID and it has worked fine here in our state. We’ve had no problems with people being upset or complaining and just like they want ot do in Oklahoma if someone is not able to provide an id or doesn’t want to turn around and go get a ID and come back to the precinct, they can cast a provisional ballot. So I see no reason to quibble about showing an ID when we cast our vote because we have to identify ourselves in so many other places in our society.

Does it ever occur to you that the reason people don’t pay their taxes is because they can’t? Maybe the better solution would be to reduce the size of our government so our taxes will be affordable.

All these people, all about gun laws. There’s no gun law that’s going to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. They’ll get a gun some way, if they have to make a zip gun. A criminal will win out, no matter what the law says. A criminal doesn’t know about the law, hardly.

Hey, put some grease in the frying pan. The Beaufort County Community Orchestra needs to play some Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I wish there was a 1-800 number that you could call to turn in deadbeats who are collecting unemployment or disability. Why do we have to accept this? I hate the fact that I work to help pay for someone who won’t.
