Thank you for not plastering the Boston Marathon bombing all over your front page. While a tragic tale, it has little to do with us in eastern North Carolina. It was all over our local TV channels Monday. Why, I don’t know. We have Internet. We have 24-hour cable news channels. It made me miss “Family Guy,” one of my favorite shows. … There is no need to pre-empt it. It’s not going to change anything. It really has nothing to do with us local people. My feelings have always been, if you were home, nothing of this would have happened. If those people were home, they wouldn’t have gotten hurt, plain and simple. … Thank you for not spoiling our lovely, local paper with this tragedy.
