I’ve lived here all my life. I’ve never known cars to be parked in front of Bill Jackson’s hot-dog stand when it wasn’t open. It seems like to me with all the public parking behind the hot-dog stand, you could put them cars back yonder. … The patrons of the hot-dog stand sure would love to be able to park up yonder, but you’ve got things all jammed up.

The contractors repairing the town of Belhaven drainage system under the town streets are doing much damage to property on the sides of the street. They try to repair the damage. But, in most cases, it looks worse than the original damage. Town officials don’t seem too concerned about this unsightly mess.

The grass headed out from town to the health department is getting high again and people are still walking through there to get to the health department.
