Mr. Gene Autry Williamson, age 76, a resident of Aurora, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Carolina East Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday May 27, 2013 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by Greg Richards. Curtis Potter, Brad Potter, J.L. Overton, Lloyd Hollowell, Charles Hollowell and William Roberson will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Williamson was born in Beaufort County on May 10, 1937 to the late Don and Marie Overton Williamson. He married Lois Faye Perkins who preceded him in death on May 26, 1981. He was a 1955 graduate of Aurora High School and was owner of Aurora Gas Company.
Survivors include three sons, Gene Williamson, Jr. and wife Rosemary, Steve Williamson and wife Susan, Jason Williamson and wife Shelley all of Aurora, one brother, Buck Williamson and wife Lala of Aurora, one sister, Alice Marie Grissom and husband Billy of Greenville and four grandchildren, Holli Williamson, Lee Williamson, Donnie Williamson and Kaitlyn Williamson.
Memorials may be made to the Aurora Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 277, Aurora, NC 27806.
