Cruise with the BCCC Foundation aboard the Queen Mary II to England

The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is sponsoring a two-week trip to England aboard the Queen Mary II that will feature visits to London’s famed theater district and a three-night stay in one of England’s most picturesque coastal villages.
The trip, scheduled for May 15 to 31, 2014, will also include a week at sea aboard the Queen Mary II, Cunard’s flagship cruise ship and, arguably, the most magnificent ocean liner ever built.
The tour will depart Rocky Mount at 11 a.m. by train on May 15 and return to Rocky Mount by train on May 31.
Veteran group tour leader Jeffery Phipps, professor emeritus and costume designer and design-area coordinator with the School of Theatre and Dance at East Carolina University, will lead the group.
The cost of the trip starts at $4,200 based on a maximum of 10 trip participants. The price includes double occupancy at hotels in New York, Rye and London, accommodation and all meals on board the Queen Mary II, breakfast and dinner at the Hope Anchor Hotel in Rye, breakfast at the Castleton Hotel in London, train travel to and from New York and within England and three planned theater outings, admission to the Tower of London and the National Gallery in London, among other activities.
The itinerary includes seven nights at sea, three nights in Rye, four nights in London and two nights in New York.
The Hope Anchor Hotel is a three-star, privately-owned hotel with 13 bedrooms with private bathrooms and has been welcoming guests for over 30 years. Its restaurant serves local fresh fish, meat and produce from Rye and the surrounding area.
The Castleton Hotel is also a three-star hotel located in the Bayswater/Paddington area of London convenient to Kensington Gardens, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall.
The deadline for registration for the trip is Saturday, Feb. 1. A deposit of $500 is required at the time of registration. The final payment will be due 45 days before the trip departure.
