Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC or call 252-946-4517 for more information. During the month of June cats and kittens, at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, will have an adoption fee of $25. This fee includes spaying/neutering, the first round of shots, a microchip and worming for each feline adopted. This is a reduced fee with the remainder paid by the Humane Society of Beaufort County. Teach Teach is a 4-year-old, male Angora cat. Angoras are lithe and balanced of body. They are intelligent, lively, inquisitive and affectionate. Teach is all of this and more. He has the most exquisite silky coat and huge chartreuse eyes. He prefers to be with company and purrs with delight when held and cuddled. He is easily groomed with a gentle brushing, as his silky coat does not mat. He is an all-around perfect cat for any family. Teach’s adoption fee is $25 and he is available through Saturday. Jack Say hi to Jack, a male, 3-month-old, tan and white Terrier-Retriever-mix puppy. Available also, but not in the photo, is Jack’s sister, Sharon; they are identical litter mates. These adorable pups are loving, affectionate, friendly and playful with good energy levels. Jack and Sharon will make wonderful additions to forever homes and they are available through Saturday.
