Can you imagine? I have just heard and I am utterly shocked that Pat McCrory, who claimed he wanted to do something for education, has pulled the rug out from under us. He and the Legislature have not even put a decent raise for teachers in the budget. I am appalled at him and the other Republicans … to do this to teachers. This is a travesty. Pat McCrory and the Legislature are going to be held accountable for this.

 

The older I get, the more I am inclined to think you should not only be a U.S. citizen (to vote) but also made to take a background check for homework on your candidate.

 

The worse thing the school board could have done, it did. It did away with the uniforms. It should have stayed with them. As a parent, I was proud of it, glad to have it.
