The North Carolina Department of Transportation has extended two Beaufort County road closures.
State Road 1410’s closure has been extended another week, according to a release issued by the DOT.
Both directions of State Road 1410 were closed July 8 for to repair the deck of a bridge.
Traffic will continue to use a 6.2-mile detour from State Road 1410 to U.S. Highway 264 to Wharton Road, and then Cherry Run Road and back to State Road 1410.
The road is now set to open Friday, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m.
The DOT has also extended the Marslender Road (State Road 1747) closure east of Bath. The road will reopen Friday, Aug. 16, at 5 p.m.
