TRENT TETTERTON | CONTRIBUTED TOMFOOLERY: Tom Payne, longterm active member of Washington Noon Rotary (WNR) and prior Rotary district governor, is recognized by incoming club President Spencer Stanley with the naming of the "Tom Payne TomFoolery Table." Tom usually sits with friends and fellow Rotarians Mac Hodges, Mitch St.Clair, Brownie Futrell and others, and often interjects humorous wise cracks, jokes and comments during weekly meetings. His “contributions” go a long way in making meetings humorous, fun and enjoyable. A special seat at the table was also named for a "TomFoolery Guest," where Rotary members brave enough to endure the company of “the regulars” can rotate through each week to enjoy (and/or be victimized by) the banter. A jester's hat was also unveiled, providing Tom with appropriate headgear to match his wit. Washington Noon Rotary is one of Washington’s most active civic organizations, donating thousands of dollars each year to deserving local charities through annual fundraising events such as Smoke on the Water and the Reverse Raffle. To find out more about becoming a member of Washington Noon Rotary, call Spencer Stanley at 252-940-8769 or contact him via email at sstanley@bcdcsolutions.org. We invite you to be our guest at a meeting so you too may experience WNR camaraderie and enthusiasm.
