I’d like to know if the Beaufort County commissioners have a dictionary in their office or homes. Tell them to look up the word “industrial.” It means manufacturing, productivity. It doesn’t say anying about a jail. Tell me if there is a county in North Carolina that has a jail in its industrial park.

 

The city does not need to own Kugler Field. Mayor Jennings — this is just another power grab about him. If you want to see the previous editorial in the Washington Daily News, there’s also a power struggle with him and the Washington waterfront. Obviously, the city does not need to own Kugler Field. Leave it as is.

 

I read with interest recently all about the apartments going smokeless in the area. It’s really not going to change anything.
