Cottie Garrish Williams, 74, formerly of Hyde County and a resident of 122 Town Crest Lane, Rustburg, VA, died at her home on August 22, 2013.

 Born in Hyde County, December 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wilson and Mamie Richards Garrish. She was respected and loved for her patience, artistic talent, and her sweet smile.

 A funeral service will be held at the family plot in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery in the Ponzer Community on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Thomas Biggs will officiate.

Surviving are two sons, Joey Smith and wife, Beth of Brewster, NY and Keveen Smith and wife, Cheri of Scranton; a daughter, Marcie Williams of Rustburg, VA; a sister, Margaret Brinn of Florida.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Myron Garrish, and a sister, Minnie G. Sharber.
