From First South Bank

First South Bank announced the addition of Galen Niederhauser to the Washington branch located at 300 North Market Street. Niederhauser was named Assistant Vice President – Community Banking Officer. He will be focused on working within the business community and with small business owners to help them manage and grow their business.

Niederhauser comes to First South Bank with more than five years of investment and banking experience. He has previously been associated with Wells Fargo Bank and Wachovia Securities.

Niederhauser resides in Washington with his wife, Jeanne, and two children, Gabe and Lucy. They attend Church of the Good Shepherd in Washington.

First South Bank has been serving the citizens of eastern North Carolina since 1902 and offers a variety of financial products and services, including a Leasing Company and securities brokerage services through an affiliation with a broker/dealer. The Bank operates through its main office headquartered in Washington and has 26 branch offices located throughout central, eastern, northeastern and southeastern North Carolina.
