Arrest made for Spring Creek Road break-in

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested the man they believe was responsible for stealing firearms, electronics and ATVs from a Spring Creek Road, Aurora, residence.

A report of the theft was made on June 19. On Sept. 3, Scottey Wright, 25, of Old Snow Hill Road, Ayden, was arrested and charged with the crime.

Wright was charged breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of firearm and safe cracking.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, one of the ATVs was recovered from a wooded area off Bonnerton Road in Edward. Wright was held on a $25,000 secured bond.
