Mrs. Lovie Irene Strickland Whitehurst 71, of 1290 Everett Road, Robersonville, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, with the Rev. Chris Moulton officiating. Burial follows in Oak City Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the funeral home, which is in charge of arrangements.
