A Plymouth man has been charged with burglary, larceny and injury to real property for an August break-in on Highway 32 North in Beaufort County.

According to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Bradley Keith Thompson, 24, of N.C. Highway 32 North, Plymouth, on Sept. 8. Thompson was charged with second-degree burglary, felony breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering and injury to real property. The injury to real property charge comes from the damage done while the suspect was in the residence, according to Maj. Kenneth Watson, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

“The home was vandalized on the inside … There was damage to the walls,” Watson said, adding that the subject was intoxicated at the time of the crime.

Several items were stolen from the property, the largest of which was an ATV. That was found later on a gravel road in a wooded area nearby the home.

Thompson turned himself in to the sheriff’s office and was held on a 10,000 secured bond.
