Speakers Hall of Fame member to visit BCCC
Whether you are a business owner, employee or just going about your day-to-day activities, you are being robbed of the chance to perform at peak performance.
The thief is negativity, according to master story-teller Steve Gilliland.
Gilliland, a member of the Speakers Hall of Fame, will present a program at Beaufort County Community College on combating negative thinking 1 to 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, in the auditorium of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.

Participants will learn to turn negative attitudes into positive behaviors and problems into opportunities. They will also learn innovative methods of dealing with the by-products of bad attitudes.
Gilliland was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area and lives in North Carolina. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and his master’s in business administration from Globe University in Minnesota.
He is the author of several books including “Enjoy the Ride: How to Experience the True Joy of Life,” “Making a Difference: A Matter of Purpose,” “Passion and Pride” and “Hide Your Goat: Strategies to Stay Positive when Negativity Surrounds You.”
Gilliland can be heard daily alongside Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Cosby on SiriusXM Radio’s Laugh USA and Blue Collar Radio.
