Washington, Northside, Southside basketball games canceled

Washington’s away games scheduled for tonight against South Creek and Southside’s home games against Pamlico County have been canceled due to the impending inclimate weather conditions. Northside’s games tonight at Lejeune and tomorrow against Currituck County are also canceled, according to Head Coach Michael Proctor.

Tonight’s forecast calls for a temperature in the teens with an 80 percent chance of snow, according to The Weather Channel.

The schools have yet to announce when these games will be rescheduled.

Washington has lost their last three games and has yet to pick up a conference win. They have a record of 2-6 overall.

Northside is coming off a three-game winning streak, averaging 68 points per game over that stretch. They currently sit fourth I the 1A Conference 11 Standings with a 12-2 (2-2) record.

Southside hasn’t played a game since their victory against Lejeune on Jan. 10. They sit second in the standings with a 6-8 (2-1) record.
