From Vidant Health

Flu activity and viral respiratory illnesses are widespread in the community.

During this time of increased activity, Vidant has the following visitation limitations:

1. Children under the age of 12 may not visit healthy newborns at any Vidant Health hospital unless they live in the same household and do not have symptoms of a cold or flu, fever, diarrhea, vomiting or headaches.

2. Children under the age of 12 may not visit The James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

These limitations are temporary and will be removed as soon as flu and viral respiratory illnesses decrease in the community.

As always, family and visitors of any age should not come to the hospital if they have symptoms of a cold or flu, fever, diarrhea, vomiting or headaches.
