Mr. Chester Theodor Czuchra, age 88, a resident of 2026 North Market Street, Washington, NC, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Center of Washington, NC.

 

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Derik Davis.

 

Mr. Czuchra was born in Hampden County, Massachusetts on December 12, 1925 to the late Michael Czuchra and Kununda Witicos Czuchra. Mr. Czuchra was a 1942 graduate of Chicopee High School in Massachusetts. On October 18, 1947, he married Marie Gagnon Czuchra, who survives. Mr. Czuchra worked for Uniroyal Tires for twenty-four years, and after Uniroyal’s closure, he worked for the Gemini Clothing Business. He was a member of the Polish Veterans Club (PAV).

 

In addition to his wife Marie G. Czuchra, of the home, Mr. Czuchra is survived by a son, Dennis A. Czuchra and wife Rebecca of Washington, NC, four grandchildren, Tabitha Czuchra, Erik Czuchra and Madison Czuchra and Jason Edwards, two great grandchildren, Alyas Williams and Eli Edwards and a sister, Dorothy Przybylowcz of Chicopee, Mass.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Czuchra is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
