Eastern Youth Orchestras were a hit

To the Editor

On Sunday, 3/9/14, I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Eastern Youth Orchestras concert at the Turnage Theater. This concert was made up of children from 10 eastern North Carolina counties. They aged from elementary school through high school. Bringing this variety of young talented musicians together was a task in itself but to produce the excellence exhibited by each one of them was amazing. My hat’s off to Wendy Blissinger, Dr. C. Gregory Hurley and Dr. John O’Brien for bringing together and developing such a fantastic group of young talented artists into the concert I (we) enjoyed so much. Bravo!
