Each summer, LWSS offers many sailing related activities and educational programs to area students. This past summer, the sailing school conducted eight beginner classes and two advanced classes for more than 100 students who enrolled in the program. To be eligible to participate, a student must be between 12 and 18 years old, weigh a minimum of 70 pounds and be able to swim. (Swimming classes are available to anyone not meeting the prerequisite swimming requirement.) Tuition is $225 for the two-week class, and scholarships are available to those who qualify.
