BEAUFORT COUNTY SCHOOLS | CONTRIBUTED TEST TIME: The eighth-grade AIG classes at Chocowinity Middle School completed its remote-operated vehicle project last week. The project was funded by the Bright Ideas Grant given by Tideland Electric Membership Corporation. Students built their vehicles and tested them in a small pool. In May, the students will be going to Craven County to compete in a slalom-style course against other schools. Paige Hill (left), AIG instructor, sets Carolina Leos' vehicle in the test pool as Hannah Jones, Jasmine Speller, Tanja Butler and Jesse Lohman watch to see if the machine works.
