Waterfront vigil: community remembers fallen officer

Alex Thalmann, a graduate of Washington High School and of Beaufort County Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training program, was killed in the line of duty Friday night in New Bern. He had worked for the New Bern Police Department for seven months.
